Scout Automotive Paint Shop

We’re excited to be part of this groundbreaking project, constructing a state-of-the-art facility that will shape the future of the all-electric Scout vehicles. This isn’t your average factory build - it’s where the legendary Scout heritage meets a brand-new electric soul, bringing the iconic spirit of Scout Motors into the EV era. 

The site which spans a vast 1,100 acres is strategically located about 20 minutes north and east of Columbia, South Carolina. The Production Center’s main structures include a body shop, a paint shop, and final assembly buildings. The site also features a state-of-the-art training center for our employees and a technology center to support our future vehicles. 

Our trusted partner and customer Gallagher-Kaiser has been awarded the paint shop portion of this project, and we are proud to join forces with them as the electrical trade partner. As part of the team, we are leveraging our deep expertise in handling the electrical installations for the critical process systems—including PT/ED, ovens, paint booths, inspection decks, paint mix systems, and more.

To empower the field team, we will leverage the full spectrum of our expertise from the Minneapolis office. Collaborating with our estimating, purchasing, accounting, and fully loaded engineering teams we guarantee meticulous planning and innovative engineering solutions will drive project success.

LOCAL LABOR FORCE

Because of its limited union labor pool, this location presents a new challenge for Hunt Electric. To navigate this, we have partnered with SEGLC Electric to ensure we have the local expertise and manpower needed.  By working with the local business agent, we’re also driving efforts to attract more skilled labor to the area.
