First Witness Child Advocacy Center

Our in-house limited energy division in Duluth, ARS, was chosen as the limited energy systems integrator to help build out the new office space for the First Witness Child Advocacy Center. First Witness CAC is a non-profit that supports child victims of abuse/violence, along with their families. 

FITTING OUR CLIENT’S NEEDS
First Witness had some specific needs for their project, and ARS used our strengths to make their new facility function exactly as needed. Initially ARS was only hired to provide data/voice cabling and the fire alarm system, though we ended up being able showcase our strengths in other ways. We assisted with the project by providing a Genetec access control and video surveillance system, a full presentation and conferencing system for their training room, and intrusion detection. By working closely with both the end user and the general contractor, we were able to make the changes needed to fit the needs of First Witness.

UNIQUE
The ARS team set a goal to self-perform more Notifier fire alarm and Genetec access control work. First Witness hit on both of these goals and resulted in a successful project and a happy client.

NOTABLE FIRSTS
This project had a few firsts for us. This was the first project managed by Tim Rogentine and the first Notifier fire alarm system that our Notifier programmer Brent Thompson finished on his own.
