WIC Week Spotlight: Anna Gasser

Assistant Project Manager, Donny Foster, coined Anna the "Swiss Army Knife" of the most recent job site she was on and Senior Project Manager, Pat Capouch, could not agree more. In his opinion, she has accepted every challenge that has been presented to her, with energy and ambition and is certainly worthy to be recognized as a standout Woman in Construction.

Women In Construction employee showcase

March 6, 2023 - This week, as a part of Women in Construction Week, we are highlighting women as a viable component of the construction industry.  WIC Week also provides an occasion to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.

ANNA GASSER, SITE PROJECT ASSISTANT
Years in Industry: 18
Years at Hunt: 3

The best way to describe what Anna contributes to our team is to quote her co-worker but since that was three paragraphs long, we picked out the key words to give you an idea: Proficient, professional, valuable, instrumental, good aptitude, and productive, to name a few.

A Career in Construction

Anna pursued a career in construction because she loves all the moving parts and that each project is different.  She also feels strongly about doing something to make an impact for generations to come.  Like each project, each day looks different for her.  Maybe a morning of procurement and purchasing turns into an afternoon of contracts for subcontractors.

Her first project with Hunt Electric happened to be a very large and complex project – Ultium Cells Battery Plant.  It felt daunting at first but in true Hunt fashion, the team around her was always willing to explain the why’s and how’s and Anna gained invaluable experience and understanding of the process.  Also during her past 3 years there, she was instrumental in helping to highlight and recognize the accomplishments of our female electricians on the job site.

Next up for Anna?  She’s heading to another battery plant – this time in Kokomo, Indiana.
