Strengthening Our Safety Culture: New Roles, Same Commitment
Hunt Electric is proud to announce several promotions within our growing Safety and Risk team, highlighting our continued focus on building a strong safety culture across all divisions. With new leadership roles for Sami LeRoy, Kyle Casey, and Bill Dravis, along with the addition of several new team members across the state, Hunt is reinforcing its commitment to ensuring that every jobsite remains safe and compliant as we grow.

EAGAN, MN – July 2025 – Hunt Electric is proud to announce several exciting promotions within our Safety and Risk team. These changes reflect both the growth of our operations and the continued commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture across all divisions.
Sami LeRoy has been promoted to Safety Representative in Bloomington. Since joining Hunt in 2019 as a Corporate Safety Specialist, Sami has brought energy, approachability, and a passion for keeping people safe. Known for her positive outlook—calling her favorite part of the job “taking field trips every day”—she plays a key role in promoting safety-driven culture through regular site visits, hands-on training, and close collaboration with field crews, General Foremen, and Project Managers. “Hunt’s got the best people!” Sami shares. “I never hesitate to ask for assistance or guidance; everyone on the safety team pitches in.”
We’re also proud to recognize the promotions of Kyle Casey and Bill Dravis to Safety Managers. Kyle oversees all southern Minnesota operations, including Rochester, New Ulm, and Mankato, while Bill leads safety efforts at Baer Manufacturing in Hudson. Kyle came to Hunt in 2024 from the construction industry, having grown up in a family of safety professionals. Bill brings over 30 years of safety experience and a deep commitment to keeping people safe as Hunt and Baer continue to grow. “It’s an exciting time to be part of such a great organization,” says Bill. Kyle adds, “Even before I joined Hunt, I was impressed by the commitment to safety I saw on jobsites—it’s what drew me here.”
Together, Kyle and Bill work closely to develop safety strategies, conduct audits and orientations, respond to incidents, and ensure full compliance with all regulations. Their collaboration across divisions strengthens Hunt’s position as a safety leader in the industry.
Under the guidance of Vice President of Safety and Risk Management, John Matejcek, and Director of Safety, Christopher Rollins, the Safety and Risk team continues to grow and thrive. New team members like Amy Sandelin (Senior Safety Representative, Duluth), Marco Lopez and Cade Hopkins (Site Specific Safety Representatives), and Zach Ritter (Eagan) have joined nearly twenty professionals across the state working toward a shared goal: ensuring everyone goes home as safe and healthy as they arrived.
As the department expands, the mission remains the same—safety always comes before production. Please join us in congratulating the entire Hunt Safety and Risk team on their well-deserved promotions and ongoing efforts to uphold and advance our safety-first culture.
