TCO Waconia Clinic Expansion

Twin Cities Orthopedics expanded its Waconia facility to support a growing patient population and broaden its orthopedic and sports performance capabilities. Designed by Sperides Reiners Architects and built by RJM Construction, this 35,000 square foot expansion enhances treatment, rehabilitation, and diagnostic services for the surrounding community.

Hunt Electric provided electrical construction, BIM and VDC coordination, and Advanced Construction Planning. In-house partners delivered supporting system upgrades, including an ECSI fire alarm enhancement and Power Solutions load bank testing. Together, these teams supported a coordinated installation that meets TCO’s advanced operational and clinical requirements.

The expanded facility now features enhanced diagnostic capabilities with MRI and X-ray equipment. To support patient recovery and athletic performance, the project added a fully equipped physical therapy gym with specialized amenities for mobility improvement and sports training.

This expansion reflects TCO’s commitment to providing comprehensive orthopedic care while strengthening access to advanced rehabilitation resources within the region.

• Completing the permanent service installation six months ahead of schedule
• Supporting one of the first orders BSE received for their new product line

Disruption Avoidance in an Active Clinic

The clinic remained fully operational throughout the expansion, making disruption avoidance an essential priority.

• Close collaboration with the utility company to maintain continuity of service
