Hunt provided the electrical construction services for this remodel of two existing classroom spaces into one modern dental lab simulated classroom at Rochester Community and Technical College. The new space consists of multiple lab stations with every dental tool, chair and feature you would find in a dental office.

Hunt provided power to the classrooms from a nearby mechanical room. We also provided lighting controls and integrated the teachers station to allow the instructor to turn on the stations, air compressors, lights, and vacuum pumps without leaving the class.
A neat part of the project was providing glasses with cameras to allow what a teacher or student sees to be broadcast onto two wall mount monitors. This allows a remote person to view and instruct alongside recordings.
Unique Challenges
The project faced challenges such as summer schedules with long lead times, dental stations stored onsite for two years, and a disconnect with the provider due to a lapsed contract. Online meetings were held to align on processes, review past installations, and share best practices. Coordination was also required with a tenant below the site, as electrical and plumbing work disrupted their space, adding complexity to the project.
