LaunchPad Golf – The Meadows
Prior Lake, MN
Project Overview: LaunchPad Expands to the United States
LaunchPad Golf – The Meadows is a new, multi-level golf entertainment venue located in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The site includes a 243-yard driving range set on more than five acres of artificial turf, along with a modern facility featuring golf suites, full-service food and beverage areas, and integrated entertainment amenities. This project expands the regional sports and leisure offerings near Mystic Lake Casino and The Meadows at Mystic Lake golf course.
Featuring 40 golf suites, two bars, and a full-service restaurant, LaunchPad Golf The Meadows offers a cutting-edge entertainment experience. This project marked a new construction design-build collaboration with PCL Construction and SMSC, all executed under a demanding timeline. Bar tops are illuminated through the epoxy with wood features changing colors and scenes. Many of the lights are integrated with ball tracking, with the range targets having color-changing features. While LaunchPad locations are primarily based in Canada, this exciting venture represents their very first location in the United States!
Navigating Lead Times and Coordination
This project presented significant challenges related to lead times and design requirements. The scope of the system added another layer of complexity, as it involved coordinating multiple vendors and their product lines from various regions across the country and the globe. For instance, the target lighting vendor, based in Florida, needed to seamlessly integrate with the ball tracking system, while the ball tracking vendor, located in South Africa, required integration with the target lighting system. This created intricate logistical and coordination hurdles that demanded meticulous planning and execution.
