Divo 16 Solar Installation

The Divo 16 Solar Installation is a 1 MW renewable energy project designed to seamlessly integrate with the Xcel Energy grid and deliver reliable solar power to the region. Hunt Electric completed the full electrical scope of this fixed-tilt solar array, ensuring long-term system durability and high-performance energy generation.

The installation features fixed-tilt racking, photovoltaic panel assemblies, and all associated wiring. A robust CAB cable management system supports panel wiring across the array, providing clean organization and enhanced long-term maintainability.

Hunt Electric’s crews consolidated panel circuits into the site’s string inverters, with each inverter output feeding into the main switchgear at the point of interconnection (POI). This ensures safe, efficient, utility-ready power delivery.

To enhance productivity and ensure consistent installations, Baer Manufacturing supported the project through precise prefabrication efforts, streamlining onsite work and improving installation quality.

Navigating Challenging Terrain

The project site presented significant terrain challenges. The racking and panels were installed on a very tall and steep hill, with the base of the slope located in a 100-year flood plain. This required adjustments to meet National Electrical Code (NEC) clearances, including:

• Mounting inverters higher than typical installations
• Raising ground-mounted components to sufficient elevations

These adaptations ensured both safety and compliance across the array.

Hunt Electric delivered the complete electrical construction package for the 1 MW Divo 16 solar installation, supporting the project from array assembly through utility integration. Our scope included installation of fixed-tilt racking, photovoltaic panels, structured panel wiring, inverter integration, and final commissioning activities. Our team’s scope included:

• Installation of fixed-tilt racking system

• Routing and support of panel wiring using a CAB cable management system
• Circuit consolidation into the site’s string inverters
• Inverter output integration to the main switchgear at the POI
